History

1944 ? 1992
The newly created repair and exploitation base was used along with repair of the operating fleet for building towboats and non-self-propelled vessels.

1992
On the base of the OJSC «White Sea and Onega shipping company» in Petrozavodsk the joint Russian and German venture «Omega Arminius Shipbuilders» was created.

1992 ? 1997
A number of dry cargo vessels with a deadweight of 2,300 tons were built according to the German project. The personnel was trained and worked on probation in Germany.

1999 ? 2002
Modernisation of eight «Volzhskiy» type river vessels was effected with their further transfer into the class of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping for operation on transporting foreign trade cargoes.

2003
A batch of vessels with a deadweight of 5,400 tons began to be built according to the project 005RSD03 «Karelia».

2007
The nine vessels of ?Karelia? project have been built.
A new family of dry cargo sea-crafts of DCV33 project with deadweight of 4500t has begun.
